I’d recommend the electric fence. Works well.
I bought the fence power unit at a feed store. I think around $50 or so
with the materials.

My only problem is that the coop is not near a power source (i.e an
electrical outlet). But I’m digging trenches and filling them with rocks.
Actually I only had to power it for a few days, in which I used an
extension cord. Once the dogs tried the fence, they learned the lesson
extremely fast and have never attempted to cross it again.
How does it stay powered? Is it plugged in to something?
