looks great
made a cheap one once for my friend no wheels, just pick up the front and
roll it on a 4 inch pvc pipe the length of the coop every day or so.
Bigger wheels?
You might want to put some regular chicken wire on the top of the run..A
critter could get in the top as the holes are too large. Looks good and the
checks are growing like weeds. Thanks for sharing.
great video bro, they have really grown, esp the ducks, from the last
video. Love watching them grown up and can’t wait to see the first egg.
very cool, thats very nice of you to offer those!!! i will let you know
about them if thats what im going to do. the wheels would be great but it
is almost to heavy to lift up either less pull it around. a quad would
probally come in handy too. thanks for responding!!
What kind of chickens are they?
Great Job! They are so cute when they are babies.
They’ve all gotten so big!
thanks, yeah the chicks are just over a month old and its in the 50s today
and they seem to not mind very much. the brahmas are more cold hardy than
the others. right now they are running around really active instead of
huddling together in a corner for warmth. a lot of people say you need lots
of heat while they are babys but they have the red heat light in there
house for night time when it gets really cold. never had chickens before
but they seem to not mind 50 degree temps. hope this helps!
bigger wheels would be pretty cool but even than this thing is way to heavy
to move with one person. trust me, i sprained my left wrist and almost
broke my back trying to move this heavy thing. last resort i took it apart
and moved them both separately. your right though, it will definitely have
to be modified for this thing to be more mobile. they are getting pretty
big though huh? not the little yellow puff balls they used to be. thanks
for commenting brother!!
nice – hey how old are the chicks? and whats your low temp? getting some
more chicks this week so I am curious
Wood is heavy. Almost everything I make turns out about twice as heavy as I
thought it would be.
Looks good! You might want to find some old dirt bike tires or something
bigger like that for the wheels should make it easier to roll over the
rough ground, don’t forget about a roost for them should be easy to make
with all those trees around. Love seeing the progress. Thanks for the
videos
I bet you could move it if you got bigger wheels
great job!!
Hi there Love your videos ,thank you for posting. A question – how do
you use the heat lamp out there? I’ve never seen one that doesn’t a) cost a
lot of money; and b) can be powered by battery. Can you offer the name of
the brand etc., and where you got the one that you use please?
Projects always seem to end up heavier than I want them to. Looks
functional. A nice home for the birds.
you’ve come a long way bro. really great job at the off grid lifestyle.
getting more and more self sufficient every day. Its something we all
should be looking at. getting back to basic living and not being a slave to
financial vampires.
Good job bro !
Chicken tractors r suppose to be really useful. I’m a new subscriber to yur
channel hi Keep up the good work on homesteading. I think u made a good
choice for u and yur family. Thanks for sharing
An old push mower base with wheels and handle attached under the hooch part
will allow you to pull the tractor around. I love growing me own food. good
job
put some bigger wheels…you moving on lawn. did not expect them to look
like that yet, awesome
think of it as a wheelbarrow bigger wheel bigger load. Add two big wheels
on the other side so you can least push it
Keep an eye out for pallets and other scrap lumber. You can always add-on
and modify it (for free) later down the road.

chicken videos;) I live in Huntington Beach, ca. What city you in?
I really like all the improvements you have made to your coop. Looks like
they will have a nice home and fencing off the corner in your yard for them
is a great idea! Subbed. I am in California too, where abouts are you?
@jedesignz Thanks bro! It was harder then it looks but got it done:) I was
going to send you a message because I have not seen you in some time now.
How is the family? How’s the chickens? Etc etc?
Looking good bro. Nice job adding those hinged doors.
