Do you have any problems with your chickens throwing their food out of the feeder everyday. Mine just started and I’m tired of them wasting it Plus I don’t like its all over.the floor. Do they not do it with the feeder you use? Anyway to stop this? Also can I use hay instead of straw. Right now I’m using chip but that looks easier to clean

How do you keep your rooster from attacking you? Lady at work got chickens and a rooster (1st time) and can’t keep the rooster from attacking. Any ideas?

Chicken> Thumbs up. I kept chickens around just to watch. It’s fun.
I set-up a home for them in a horse-stall. The chickens decided they didn’t want to be cooped-up. & They flew-out the top dobbin-door. Providence gave me free-range chickens.
The chickens wanted to sleep in huge-pyracantha bushes. With their heads under wings, they looked like bowling-balls.
They only got a smidgen of food from me each day. My chickens could take care of themselves: ‘A country-chicken can survive.’

Misty, I swear I can see an egg hatching in that lot you put in the carton! It’s one in the middle closest to the camera. Start watching about 5:48 and look close at the top of one with a piece of straw in front of it.

Hi Misty…when I heard the old man crow…..my son and I just could not stop laughing….that is sure nuff a man(mr.rooster) who enjoys his food. I live in the subs of old Laderra, (Los Angeles, Ca.), saving to move to the country, and I can hardly wait. God Bless you and yours !
I do not know, I would have to ask the man that grinds it, I know it has soy bean meal, corn, some kinds of protien…I am dot sure. thanks

Good job for your first time building. Loved your sound effects thought I was the only girl that did that… They’re so much fun to do and the looks you get when you make them are funny. Keep woodworking soon you be making stuff with the best of em.

Thx:) me to. But the extra roofing will only be here on monday so I think they will be able to go in it monday and I will surely film it. I need to make a sitting pole as well for them + ladder to go in the house
