Bravo! You built a complete chicken coop by the time I finished my large coffee… hmmm. wish I could do that in my farmyard. Having a workshop with the best equipment plus your skill does make a difference. It is perfect. Excellent job. Well, I am taking away a great design and one that I may be able to duplicate, to a point, with my scraps of plywood, old 2x4s and used 6x1x12 board fencing. Wish me luck! Thanks again!

How much did all the wood cost in total?

  16. catfishredneck88 says:

very nice craftsmanship. it helps to have the right tools for the job.

I wondered that myself, what with using all the T&G used, it’s just adding to the amount of places mites can nest/hide – I built a 4′ x 4′ coop using 15mm exterior ply instead. Also, kept all the structural beams and things on the outside instead, so the inside is as clean and simple as possible – makes for easier cleaning. I’d also want some plastic sheeting for the hinge on the nest box and maybe a roof ridge, but I guess the two roof pieces fit together perfectly here due to expert cutting ;)

Nice video, although it’s hard to have all these tools to help you do the job right.

i usually don’t like that type of accent but i listened to the hole thing VERY GOOD

  21. ABID HUSSAIN says:

Do your chickens not suffer from red mite with a wood building? I was told I should have plastic so not to get the mites.
    thanks in advance.
