A job well done!Love the wire overhead.I’m sure the donkeys will help against predators.I use grass carpet in my nesting boxes(found at flea market,cheap)Works great and washes well when needed,the eggs are cleaner too.For some shade in the summer,plant some vine type plants to grow up the wire(outside),greenbeans etc.(ready to eat food at hand too.)

I can’t wait. Eggs prices are starting to get a little to high at the grocery store. And with having teen boys it doesn’t take long for them to go through a dozen.

my wife cooked 4 fried eggs. two of them were store bought and two were from the girls. i was able to pick the two fresh ones right away. they have a much better flavor and even the texture is different. got another today. now i have two that are laying.
The boys say hello back. I can’t wait for them to start laying. I hate paying close to 2.00 a dozen for store bought eggs.

We have a waterer that is above the small ones that they use. It is on the nipple system. they just peck the nipples. They were doing it till we have to close them up for a week. Seems they forgot how LOL

Very fancy! I feel guilty that mine are in a converted dog kennel…I plan on building something similar to yours minus the donkey, this Spring. lol!
nice hen house if youll take them waterers and place a flat cinder block under them it will pick them up just high enough to keep the hens from scratching in them and making a mess in there and theyll need cleaning less often also i will turn out my hens and take a pump up sprayer filled with bleach and bleach the hen house and nest boxes and yard every cpl months not only sanitizes the yard n house but keeps pests down too
