1. it is impractical… it’s makes me smile and work happily in the farm… visitors love it.
2. it doesn’t automatically close… that time i don’t need a closer… i need to chase them back to the coop before the mosquitoes start their work right after sunset…
3. this is crap stupid and childish in my way…. but will not be removed because this vdo is in my channel, sorry for disturbing you…
that time i don’t need a closer… i need to chase them back to the coop before the mosquitoes start their work right after sunset…
they are fine now

i work in the farm until around 4-5am. and yes i’m a little lazy…. ha ha
I don’t know about this. Seems kind of impractical. How does it close? Empty the bottle every night? So it can fill in the morning? That’s crap. How about an automated feeder? This is stupid and childish and should be removed for stupidness and impracticality.
is the coop door just to open it in the AM? Do you have to close it yourself at night?
Rube Goldberg would have been proud of you. Where’s your automatic door closer?

nice coop and design! i hope to build one soon!!
Yes, good point. Rodents are an important thing to consider. I have the coop in an open spot without much cover but, those weeds need to be kept down. I never saw a rat here but, there are some mice that the owls and snakes help to control. When I farmed 30 years ago I had to deal with a rat family one time when they made a home near the barn. I trapped them then flooded the tunnels. Never had rats again. Lucky, because if you don’t get them soon enough, they can become a real bad problem.
Yes, my understanding is that you should have one nest box for every 4 to 5 hens (some will say, “3 to 4 hens).” I Don’t plan to keep more than 4 or 5 hens so, I’m good. I may also add a nest box on the floor of the coop that my brother-in-law has for me.
Nice looking coop, so will all the hens share the 2 boxes
good looking chicken tractor, if our property wasnt so multi level / terraced I would use the tractor.
Nice setup my buddy has a coop and had a rat issue messing with the chicken feed until he cut the grass under and arou d his coop. I can’t wait to see the birds full grow. Thanks for sharing.
Looking good.
Here’s a guy who’s done the research. Saw the last 2 vids and in one day they shot up 2x in size for sure!!!
Nice looking coop.
