THX…..These are not cheap, I paid 1000 for this coop and that was discounted because I bought two of them (one for a friend). Just posted a new video today regarding assimilating your flock with new birds, check it out.

    Solutions

EAWC Technologies was created to respond to the growing need in drinking water and proposes a water purification solution utilizing solar, photovoltaic energy and, when applicable, a mini-windmill or an alternate source of renewable energy. From the sea, lake, river or stagnant, water is passed through several stages of purification and treatment until it is rendered drinkable as per World Health Organization standards. Both are very common. I suspect if you go to any local farm supply store you should be able to find them both. That is where I purchased them. If you still can’t locate them, try amazon.

Your roosting bars should be filed so they are more rounded. Round roosting bars are easier for the chickens to use and they won’t get sore feet. Bamboo works well.

the foil insulation actually works more efficiently when there is an air gap on both sides of it.So it actually would be better to run it over the studs and rafters instead of in.

coop w/o all the upgrades was 1k. I’d say that is typical for a built coop of this size in NJ. For electricity, I dug a trench and buried a direct burial wire (from home depot). Check out my part two.. I have a few more tips

Can you tell me how much this cost? How did you get electricity to the coop

  21. trueloveheart94 says:

Thank you. Since I am new to all this chicken stuff, how big does the coop and attached run need to be for 8 chickens? I am in Massachusetts, and it can get pretty cold here. We are building, and I have read 4 sq. feet per chicken for the coop, 10 sq. feet for the run per chicken. So what is that in basic dimensions (we are building it inside out 10x6x30 dog kennel, but only using about 15 feet of that length, as I do wildlife rehab, so my release cage is in there as well. Thank you.

  22. the43k says:

Lowes, in the insulation department. Be sure to check out part 2 of this video. I just posted yesterday.

  23. trueloveheart94 says:
