Looks good. I was supposed to have my coop done last year but Mike got
deployed so I’m hoping to get it this spring.. unless he gets deployed
again.. or maybe I could borrow your foreman and get it done without him! I
kinda miss having the kids around to help

Tar the roof if it leaks .
hey cokeman. along the bottom of the coop I would dig down and lay the
chicken wire in the ground and cover back up then put the wood down along
the edge. That will help keep critters from digging in. One other thing.
Make sure when you close the front of that off that you fix it where the
owls can’t get into the coop. Lost 2 of my birds this year because of that.
I think that will make a fine place for chickens!! I look forward to part

Lesson learned…A hungry animal will spend a lot of time trying to get
some eats. Build it solid.
Is that your new bugout truck at 2:50? JK. I think you got a good plan
going. I love the natural roof timbers I would like to have a ceiling in my
house with larger timber like that someday. I think your viewers are right
its probably harder to keep the preditors out. I have trouble keeping the
out of my bird seed..

cokeman the only thing i would say is when you get to hanging your
doors/gates if it was me i would make them swing to the inside that way
when you enter it is easer to keep anything from going past you chickens
are not that big of a deal but you never know what the future my bring
Coke, my dad always said he wasn’t worried about the chickens getting out,
it was the mink, or snakes getting in. Wish I could had chickens. Keep
spreading the msg brother.

well im still working on my coop im hopeing to finish it up soon ive got
everything i need but the time as of now ive got a dozen chickens and 6
baby chicks that hatched out on newyears eve and new years day im trying to
build up to near 30 chickens and the plan for the extra roosters is freezer
camp

Just some advise I used to mix the 3 way scratch w/ the mash food 50/50 and
it helped with saving some money & the birds were big & healthy I used some
cheap plastic gutter with the end caps & a cheap automatic float hooked to
a hose for water for my birds, then just put a small bit of the plastic
gutter over top of the float to protect it from the birds i used some cheap
chain to hang the feeders about 8 to 10 inches off the ground it kept the
chickens from standing & going potty in the food
I have setup a web page and am in the process of posting pictures. I still
need to draw out the schematics. Hopefully, I will get something done in
the next week and posted.
oh cool and where did you all that and was it pricy?

The arduino monitors motor current. If the door becomes blocked or jammed,
then the motor current will increase. If the current goes over a set
threshold the motor stops, and reverses the door for a short period.

@jchamber4 I believe I was just simply changing the battery connections in
this video. My other video shows the completed project. I am using an
Arduino microcontroller that monitors the two magnetic switches to
determine when the door gets to the open or closed position. Based on the
time of day and position of the door, the arduino i/o is used to control a
motor controller that runs the motor in the forward or reverse direction to
open or close the door.

Hello,how much cost the solution for the eglu cube? I orderd one eglu cube
from uk and i get it the next 2 weeks. Is the eglu cube ok for 6 or 8
normal chicken?
